Gordian Yuriy was born in March 24 1937 in Odessa, where he lives up to now. By profession he is a technologist of founding production after retiring on a pension Yu.Gordian began working as a trainer-teacher in the chess school.

            He has being composed chess problems for 50 years. Yu.Gordian has published about 800 problems of all genres, 220 problems were distincted with prizes, and 80 of them are the first ones.

            Yuriy Gordian is an international master of chess composition, an international arbiter, a grandmaster of Ukraine for chess composition and Honoured Master of Sports of Ukraine for chess.

            He is a multiple Champion of Ukraine and 5-times Champion of the World in the Team championship results.
